Victorian Student Concession Cards 2006

Secondary / Tertiary students who travel on public transport within Victoria are entitled to obtain a concession fare on presentation of a Student Concession Card. The conditions to obtaining a Student Concession Card include:

1.       Students must be 15 years or older and attending a normal course of full time study at a Victorian Secondary School, TAFE College or University

2.       Students must complete a Student Concession Application Form – 2006.

These forms are available from

·         V/Line Office

Wodonga Railway Station 

Office hours:      Monday to Friday - 6.00am to 5.00pm

3.       On completion of Application Form, students are required to:

·         Take the form to the Student Administration Office to be signed by the Authorised Officer of the relevant Secondary School, Tafe College or University.

·         Provide two recent passport size photographs

·         Take the completed form, once signed by the Authorised Officer, and the appropriate fee, to the V/Line Office at Wodonga Railway Station who will issue the Student Concession Card

4.       Cost of the Student Concession Card, both Secondary and Tertiary, is $8.00.  The card is valid for 12 months.  The cost of the Tertiary Card has been reduced substantially this year.

5.       Travel concession entitlements include:

·         Concession fares on all bus services within Wodonga

·         Concession fares from Wodonga to Albury and return to Wodonga but not within Albury

·         All other public transport passenger services, including bus and rail services, within Victoria.

9.  Students not eligible for a Student Concession Card include:

·         Students enrolled for a Masters Degree or PhD course

·         Students enrolled in a Tertiary Course of less than ten weeks duration

·         Students enrolled in an apprenticeship course
